CDI_GLOF – Glacier variations, evolution of glacial lakes and glaciochemical record from the Cordillera Darwin icefield, Tierra del Fuego, Chile
PhD grant from the Basque Government and the UPV/EHU. Its main objective is to address the glaciological status of the Cordillera Darwin Icefield (CDI) under climate change effects, in particular through the link between glacier and glacial lakes variations, as well as the climate sensitivity and snow accumulation in the icefield, to provide a better understanding of the phenomenon of GLOF (Glacial Lake Outburst Flood).
