IZOTZEGRIP – Shipping of the EastGRIP (East Greenland Ice-core Project) S3 shallow core to Bilbao and its analysis at the IzotzaLab

The mission of the IZOTZEGRIP project (IzotzaLab + EastGRIP) is threefold:

1.  To manage the preparation and shipment to IzotzaLab of samples from the EastGRIP Shallow Ice Core of Greenland, which is stored at the NIPR (National Institute of Polar Research) in Tokyo.
2. Participate and assist in the analyses of the EastGRIP Shallow Ice Core to be carried out at NIPR.
3. To arrange for water samples (melted snow) from the BALELUR project, which have already been analysed in Japan, to be sent to IzotzaLab for further analysis at IzotzaLab and by local collaborators.
