We are delighted to share a heartwarming story that unfolded at Ikastola Urretxindorra school, where our colleague Susana Pérez from BC3 took on the role of Inspira STEAM mentor this year. During one of her sessions, Susana referred to our IzotzaLab technician, Patricia Muñoz, as an example of breaking gender stereotypes in STEAM fields. The response from the students was overwhelming, they loved the videos she showed them about Patricia’s work.
After that session and in a remarkable gesture of recognition for International Women’s Day, the students of Ikastola Urretxindorra have decided to honour Patricia by naming their 6C classroom «Patricia Muñoz gela» (Classroom “Patricia Muñoz”).
As a token of gratitude, Susana has made a special video featuring Patricia, where she introduces IzotzaLab to the students and expresses her gratitude for this honour.
